Beachhead

A beach on the banks of the Clyde.

A beach on the banks of the Clyde.

I came across this beach… it had no golden sand, in fact it had no redeeming aspects as I could see. So understanding that I’m on a journey, trying to see more, questioning assumptions, I stood and watched it. I did feel like an idiot, it wasn’t going to change.

Actually it did, people went on it, a family visited it, a kid played throwing stones into the water, boats went by causing a wake of water to lash it. I closed my eyes and used another sense to see and all I could “see” was laughter, water washing onto the shore and birds calling. Colour wasn’t important. If colour wasn’t important then this image you’re looking at is full of adventure!

It’s really a beautiful beach!
